Third Frontier Internship Program

The Third Frontier Internship Program (3FIP) seeks to develop a pool of talented workers for Ohio by:

1. Expanding internship opportunities for eligible students who meet the     following criteria:

• sophomores, juniors, seniors, or graduate students
• enrolled in (3FIP) eligible majors
• U.S. citizens
• Ohio residents at least 18 years of age

2. Assisting eligible businesses with hiring interns:

• for internship positions located in Ohio
• by reimbursing up to 50% of the intern's wages ($7 - $15 per hour) or up to $3,000 per year
• for businesses in the following industries:
  • advanced manufacturing
  • advanced materials
  • power and propulsion
  • instruments, controls, and electronics
  • bioscience
  • information technology
  • OR the intern's work focuses on one of the areas listed above
