Career Exploration Course (Expr 20295 - 3 credit hours)
This three-credit hour course is designed to provide students with information on the career decision-making process and the tools necessary to explore and evaluate career options.
Students will gain a clearer understanding of their:
- Values
- Abilities, skills, and interests
- Preferred roles and environments
- Goals
Students will be expected to:
- Have a positive attitude
- Participate in class discussions
- Arrive on time and stay until class is over - attendance is mandatory
- Invest the time and effort required to reap the benefits - you will have some fun along the way too
Additionally, students will:
- Learn how to write a resume, search for a job, and find internships
- Interact with employers to discuss career issues and career fields
