The Praxis Series is a set of tests that provide information for use by state education agencies in making licensing decisions.
The Praxis I assessment is taken by students in the College of Education, Health and Human Services to permit progression to advanced study.
Praxis I Academic Skills Assessments are designed to be taken early in a student's college career to measure reading, mathematics, and writing skills.

The Praxis II assessment consists of nationally administered tests that are required for teacher licensure. Praxis II Subject Assessments measure candidates' knowledge of the subjects they will teach, as well as general and subject-specific pedagogical skills and knowledge.
Students must consult with advisors in the College of Education, Health and Human Services regarding specific tests required for their particular academic program.
